Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Big problem for the Republicans now.

Up until yesterday they stood united as a party and simply were played "Obstructionist" to anything that came down the pike. Simple, do nothing, don't govern, just try to make BHO look bad.

Now what - They are actually going to have to try and do something or their own constituents might start asking, what the heck have you done for me lately.

The Rep's might just have to practice what they preach for a change. The excuse of simply getting in the way of everything wont work much longer. Even if it was getting in the way of progress.

Funny thing, a Rep was elected in a state where 98% of the people love their publicy funded healthcare and want to keep it.

You're so far out of touch, you should crawl out of that bubble you live in and smell the roses from time to time.
"obstructionists", how is that when the libs. had a super majority and could do what ever they wanted, no matter what a Rep. wanted. Hell, Rep. weren't even allowed behind closed doors alot of time to even be included in any thought process.

Now, they will truely be able to stand in the way of progress that was going in the wrong damn direction. Socialism!!

And Will, you just as well start getting it through your thick skull that come Nov., there's going to be more of the same of what you saw last night!

By the way, health care was the number 1 reason that your Dem. lost last night. So tell us again, just how much do the MA. people REALLY like their healthcare?

Hey genius,
Until last night, the Republicans did not have the power to "obstruct" anything let alone "govern." They still don't have the power to govern.

The Democrats are getting the crap beat out of them by their own ideas.

Perhaps you, like most on the left these days, confusing vulgar, record spending with "doing something."

That should tell YOU something, not the Republicans. The man in the oval office now will go down in history as surrounding himself with avowed communists, radical left-wing anarchists, and other wacked-out, slack-jawed, America-hating miscreants. He is the last guy on earth I would want showing up for me, were I to try to secure a political office as a Democrat.

The majority of this country did NOT favor what was purported to be "health care reform" for one simple reason that the left would like all of America to ignore...it simply did not in any meaningful way address the ongoing, rising costs. Oh, but it did include freebie health care for 31 million and a laughable promise that it would somehow reduce cost in the process. Here's a hint: Find a way to reign in the inflationary nature of the beast and most Americans will climb aboard. Until then, the left is blowing smoke up your posterior cavity and apparently you find the sensation both soothing and amusing.

Wake up, Will. Everyone else certainly has.

Quoting Bugs Bunny... "What a maroon...."

edit... VC... That was in reference to the original post, not your very well thought out response.

Taking more of a person's hard earned money, by force, is not "progress."
The government threatening you with jail if you do not buy something you do not want or need is not "progress."
Using my money to buy a car company for your political payoff is not "progress."
Moving terrorists in to this country is not "progress."
Giving enemy combatants constitutional protection is not "progress."
Selling out our allies is not "progress."
Calling a person a "racist" simply because they disagree with you is not "progress."
Apoligising for American exceptionalism is not "progress."

If this is the "progress" Republicans are standing in the way of, this Conservative is very happy with their obstructionism.

Will, I understand your political tendencies and know you have to try and put a positive spin on it. But it takes a pretty powerful set of rose-colored glasses to see what happened last night as a big problem for REPUBLICANS.

The movement to force communism down our throats here has been dealt a stunning blow. But we can't just sit around and gloat or the demon is going to get back up and devour us. We need to beat it down, stomp it into a bloody pulp, and toss it and the Communist Health Care Plan into the garbage.

It has been stated many times here, and I agreee, that the primary goal of any politician is to get reelected. We need to make it clear to our Reps/Senators that Obamist Socialism is not acceptable in the United States. Our Reps/Senators, the Democrats that is, are now a little worried. Let's take advantage of that.

We also need to look ahead to the next election. We need to make sure that those politicians who are opposed to the imposition of Socialism/Communism in our country have large campaign budgets. We need to haul out the checkbook and put our money where our mouths are.

And for those of us who are opposed to voting for the lesser of two evils, would you not prefer an evil lesser than Obama-Pelosi and their plan to create the United Soviet States of America?

Gris, while we don't always agree on political ideology I do have to say that I agree with you 100 % on that statement.

Will do you actually know any MA residents who actually like their publicly funded health care? In case you've missed it the rationing has already started in MA. and the people's taxes have already skyrocketed, but I guess that wouldn't be a good thing for you to admit.

Oh and another thing Will if 98% of the state loves their publicly funded health care then why did they elect someone who is dead set against the single payer system on a federal level. Your statement makes absolutely no sense.

Chicken.

How on earth can any republican ever even dream of saying they don't like rationing. Smaller governement, less taxes, less services, don't waste, stop corruption, leave me in charge of myself is what you stand for. Then when they try to reduce the excess and corruption you scream boooh whooo. Understand one of the major causes of the explosion in health care costs is due to hospitals and specialists simply freely running up a bill whether you are dead or not and passing that all on to the insurance comanies.

If you had to pay for it (Like every good republican wants to) you would never dream of spending the money and having the procedure done.

When dad is dying and you are told he has 5-7 days to live(real life for me in 2008) you would never dream of spending another $200,000/wk to keep him alive for maybe 2-3 more weeks if it would drain your savings and cause you to sell your house.

That is why we need rationing.

The freemarket medical care has created 1,000's of TV commercial and doctors in every household that want drugs and procedures for everything with little care for who is paying for it. Turns every so called conservative(LOLOLOLOLOLOL) into a liberal in minutes.

We need rationing now more than ever and we need to push care back to the family doctor and stop the specialist from charging $2,500 for a procedure the family doc would charge $200 for. Happens every day.
