Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why not much national exposure to Mass Senate Race?

A special election will take place Jan 19 to fill the Ted Kennedy seat in Mass. Scott Brown (R) vs Martha Coakley (D). It was expected to be a slam dunk for the Democrats but Brown has cut into the lead considerably in the last few weeks. One poll has him trailing by only 2 points.

The Democrats are now scrambling to help keep the senate seat in the Democratic Party. Should Brown win, he has vowed to vote against National Healthcare thus being the last vote to defeat National Helathcare. So much at stake here. I am just suprised at the lack of national exposure during this cruciial race.

Am I wrong? Are others here aware of what is happening in Mass?

Yep, i'm aware what is happening in PRMA. The Democrat and the Republican are both long time anti-gunners.

It's all over Fox News' website, the Dummycraps are trying to rock the vote to keep him out, or stall his confirmation until after the health care vote.

Brown's positions:

Quote:
Concealed carry ok; but licenses & background checks ok too

  • Rep. Brown indicated he supports the following principles concerning gun issues:
  • Allow citizens to carry concealed guns.
  • Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks on guns.
  • Require background checks on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows.
  • Require a license for gun possession.
From Brown's website:

Quote:
Gun issues
I support the Second Amendment and believe that citizens have the right to keep and bear arms as a basic constitutional liberty. I support safe and responsible gun ownership.
Coakley:

Quote:
No issue stance yet recorded by OnTheIssues.org.
Form Cape Cod Today:

Quote:
Mr. Brown doesn't so much "stand for" things as "stand against" them. A Tory from our past, he is even in favor of water-boarding. He doesn't think it's either torture or a violation of the Geneva Conventions which our country has pled to follow.
This alone would deny him our consideration.
But Mr. Brown also opposes;
  • the current health care legislation,
  • gun control,
  • same sex marriage and
  • Cape Wind
Coakley's positions are for the most part the opposite.

I just heard Coakley ignore questions from the media. She said in an interview that there were no more Taliban in Afghanistan, so we should just leave. Later on, well after the interview, a reporter asked why she thought there were no more Taliban in Afghanistan, in light of the recent CIA agents being killed by the Taliban, she rudely turned her head and said, how about another question

SEIU has dropped over 650,000 dollars into her campaign, along with the support of their thugs. The Leftists are hard at work, they know what a repub win will mean for Obamacare.

The other day i watched the debate between Kennedy, Brown, and Coakley. Coakely is your typical ultra-liberal blissninnie. Kennedy is not related to the Kennedy dynasty.

That Brown guy is opposed to shall issue concealed carry.

According to the polls I heard it was a neck and neck race. Maybe Mass. is just tired of all the Liberal lies too. Of course the did think the Kennedy's were a supreme race!

Check this out. Straight from the Boston Herald. Be sure to read the comments. Looks like Mass is getting sick of their liberals.
