Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why why why why??????

Okay here is my question for the day.

I work at a public school and when I asked why is there a picture of Obama hanging in the main foyer with the word "change" under his name I was told he is the president so its fitting. I was cool with it BUT when I said oh so was there ever a picture of Bush there I was told no there wasn't ever one of him. I said what about Clinton and he said yes I do recall one of Clinton there too.

HMMMMMMMMMMM??????????????

This is JMHO BUT, I think there should be a picture of the current President and past Presidents in every school. Kids are there to learn and that should include who is President. I think having a sign under Obama that says change is inappropriate as that isn't his name, the campaign is over and school staff should not be interjecting with schoolkids about who the staff supports for political office or their own opinion about any particular President.

I absolutely agree. A photograph of the current President should be prominently displayed in public schools, as a minimum.

Campaign slogans, however, have no place. Someone in your school is obviously a supporter of the Democratic party and abuses their position to promote them to schoolkids.

Ditto to the above. I have nothing to add.

I remember specifically in grade school a row of all past presidents pictures in the main hallway near the principal's office. The current president of the time was a larger photograph positioned above all the previous leaders.

I agree as well. They are/were our presidents, and should be displayed in every school.

The teachers unions have a lot to do with that. There's no doubt that like most unions they support the Liberals, this is nothing out of the ordinary, what ticks me off is when the teachers promote their own liberal agendas off on our children.

Now there are some exceptions that not all teachers are Liberals, two right here on this forum (that I know personally) are not Lefty teachers.

So that's why Osama Hussein Obama's picture hangs in school with no shame what so ever! Personally I wouldn't use his picture for kindling, my fires deserve better than that!

sad but usefully if documented. A rule has been established, just depends on who holds the power. If the rule is against the law make some noise about it. A letter to the editor is always good.

Isn't there some rule that says things must be done equally. I don't think a public school can pick and choose which party it supports, openly anyways.

The education of children is a corner stone of a corrupt endeavor. Pretty much won't succeed without it. You are a witness to one of the major steps in the trouble to come, weird isn't it. Ya read about stuff like that but ya never think it will happen around you. One encouraging thing though is the number of courts that right the wrongs. Still hope!

I went through the public school system and the liberal influence is very pervasive but also fairly subtle. My mom used to read all my textbooks and discuss some of the issues with me. I suggest you do the same. A responsible parent should be aware of what other people are teaching their kids.

I don't have an issue with a picture of the POTUS displayed, but it should not include any kind of slogan. I would however have and issue if they picked and chose which presidents they wanted to display.
