Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Health Care Reform

Just had a 4 hour conversation with a relative of mine over the break. He is a GP Family Doctor.

He voted for Bush and even admitted to voting for Palin while laughing about it.

He thinks the new health care plan is the direction we should be going and will benefit him a lot. He thinks pushing the care back to the family doctor (primary care provider) is very smart and can save a ton of money. He gave me countless examples where his care and procedures would cost 5-20 times more if that same procedure was done by a specialist. Leaving those decisions in the consumers hands just costs everyone a ton of money.

If they had to pay for it themselves they would never ever get the procedure done.

End of life planning - Again, if they had to pay out of their own pockets $500,000 to stay alive for 3-4 weeks they would never do it.

Responsibility for your actions.

Well that is one of a few. Not many doctors I know will admit either way whether or not they support the bill. Most of my friends, who are general practitoners, do not share your relatives views. And two of the mentioned M.D.s Im refering to, voted for Obama. They still wont admit it was a mistake though. I got some work to do with them. lol.

I would be very interested to hear these countless examples.

[quote][/He thinks the new health care plan is the direction we should be going and will benefit him a lot.QUOTE] No wonder he's all for it, because it will benefit HIM. Heck I'd even before it IF for one moment I thought it would actually make my health insurance cheaper, easier to make ins. claims, still get to pick the doctor that I want to see and when I want to see him/her. And IF I thought that every illigal in this country wasn't going to be givin' free health care on my dime! BUT when I look at every other government run program, I see more cost for every American. I see higher taxes to pay for it. I see more and more people thinking that they are intitled to something for nothing. We're going down a slippery slope, eventually there will be more saps sucking off the government than there will be workers keeping the milk flowing.

This new health care bill, if they manage to trample on the constitution enough to pass it, will destrrot everything good about our system and we will now pay much more for much less care. Those who already had insurance are going to get the shaft from this jerk administration. I hope everyone who voted for it gets sent home the next time they run. A few blind liberals are the only one snowed by this crap bill, and the crap that wrote and passed it.

Wait and see.

The government can't make a legal whore house in Nevada profitable. What makes you think they can do it with Health Care?

That day has already arrived. In fact, it has been with us for some time. Think of all the people who depend on the government for revenue. Government is a broad term. It includes such things as the federal government, state government, county government, city government, local government, and school districts. For a moment, forget all the freebies that government hands out. Consider instead all those who depend on a government paycheck for their livelihood. The numbers are staggering and are growing every day. Bureaucracy is consuming us! Now, add it all up....government jobs and government freebies. The scope of it all is immense.

There are more takers than there are providers. How can it go on indefinitely? Private enterprise is the goose that has been laying the golden egg....but the goose is damn near dead these days....taxed and legislated and forced offshore to do busiess elsewhere.

QUOTE]Spoken like a true liberal. The individual is so dumb, therefore we must make the wiser choice for the individual. Hey Will, why don't you just admit it? You do say the hell with the constitution. It's a very flawed document. You don't believe in freedom unless some clip claims a repuiblican is taking that freedom away. Everyone would be better off is some pencil neck in DC is running everyone's life.
