Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default This is why the U.S. is where it is today

Here is a story in my eyes is why the US is failing. Its not the other countries doing it, its us? Businesses and corporations that are greedy. By doing what they are doing they are in essence sculpting the demise of our country.

http://liveshots.blogs.foxnews.com/2...est=latestnews

Here is why:
1. Job loses
2. less revenue to our government
3. supporting a communist government
4. dropping wages on our shores.
5. competition is forced to do the same to compete and survive by offering a product at the same price.
5. They are the ones that made this country "paper" and a consumer in the world marketplace.

They are not happy with paying the bills because stock market investors are looking to make more and more sucking every penny that they can. Another reason why I believe the stock market is bad. Now the other countries don't want our stock market to dictate the world market. Why you ask? Because they know we will pull the rest of them down with it. That is why they want to replace the US dollar with something else.

Yet another reasom why I think the "green industry" is a sham. Ita about $$$$ not saving the planet!
You think we would have learned from the Romans?

Don't know if you're old enough to have a retirement account but if you are, you might want to ask the administrator how it's invested. Betcha it's in the stock market. The government doesn't make anything except bills. They take the $$$ from you and I to spend (generally inefficiently). Business is like water, money will find the easiest course, no matter what we think of it. If the object is to chase it to other countries, place unreasonable restrictions on it. Then we all go broke.

Ditto, You need to worry about yourself. Too many in this country have lost their way and look towards government to manage their life. Oh, they won't come out and say it but that's exactly what they ask for by voting for Dems every election.

I had a retirement that was great. I chose not to invest it in the stock market for good reason. Good thing I didn't. Just company match 100% dollar for dollar up to 8%. I had to take it out to pay bills and supplement along with unemployment after I lost my job. Whatever was left I used to start my company in May of 08. I also went to work as a janitor (for bennies) at night while I got some customers for my day business. The good lord blessed me this summer. Luckily I got customers in this recession and just signed a large contract that will put me and my family back on track. I am still going to clean toilets for awhile at night to remind me of what it means to be humble.

Yep the markets in control until it's not.

The bible boils it down to a few words, greed, jealousy, envy, strife... As atheism grows so do these and soon times get bad.

Many blame sin for Katrina and say the destruction was Gods judgment, in a way it is but not as some think (I think). When these sins control lives, neglect for what's important happens all it takes is a push an the result of neglect for momentary pleasure adds up to catastrophe. God doesn't have to do anything for bad things to happen as a result of our bad choices and history proves Him right. New Orleans is controlled by people consumed with their desires to feed the flesh, not people you would expect to be good stewards of property. Bad things happened, Levy's failed, crime was rampant, preparedness was pathetic and responsibility for the destruction as a result of their actions... wasn't their fault. How many billion Tiger Woods are needed to prove the point. A real good example of what's leading the country.

They are our leaders and we as so often is pointed out are sheep, as they led by example we follow.

I agree with this and I also believe that its public growth of ignorance and lack of education. If the majority of the american population is uneducated and ignorant they will depend on someone else to care for them. The liberals want more control and they are lowering the standards of living of this country to make the morons feel better. When these uneducated idiots can feel important and get a pay check from "Obama", they will continue to vote these liberals into office.

Atheism has absolutely nothing to do with economics. The majority of Chinese are athiests, and they appear to be doing just fine, the Russians are predominantly athiest and are struggling, where's the connection between the two? Katrina was a weather phenomenon caused by warm water and cool air, nothing more, and certainly not the result of sinful living on the part of the residents of the Gulf Coast.

An analysis of the election results showed that President Obama won among voters with advanced degrees (Masters and Doctoral) by 58% to 40% and four year college graduates by 50% to 48% in the 2008 election. He also won all the 19 states with the largest percentage of voters with advanced degrees while McCain won the six states with the lowest percentage of advanced degree holders. It was would appear that the intelligent and the most intelligent of the intelligent voters preferred Barack Obama. McCain's support came mainly from people who only had high school diplomas.
