A suicide bomber attacked the CIA base at Khost. Seven agents were killed and six injured. Initial reports stated that eight agents were killed. The dead included the base chief, a female.
WASHINGTON – The CIA said Thursday that seven of its employees were killed and six others wounded in a suicide bombing at a base in Afghanistan. The Associated Press has learned that one of them was the chief of the CIA's post in Afghanistan's southeastern Khost Province.
CIA Director Leon Panetta said in a message to agency staff that the casualties sustained in Wednesday's strike at Forward Operating Base Chapman were the result of a terrorist attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Initial reports indicated that eight American civilians had been killed. There was no explanation for the discrepancy in Panetta's message, which was released by the CIA in an unusual step a day after one of the deadliest attacks on the agency in its history.
Will this administration allow them to open up a can of whoopass or will they keep their hands tied as they have been doing?
I am sure that Obama will go on another over seas tour to some Muslim country to apologize for the CIA's being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Those CIA agents in that camp made a huge boo-boo. They brought a prospective local operative into the camp without searching the guy. For the life of me i cannot understand why there were at least 13 CIA agents in that camp. Thought their job was to be out in the population snooping.
I'm saddened for the loss of life but also have read some disturbing things. Not searching the subject is dangerous and can result in deadly consequences like this. It's one of those things that can become routine, mundane, boring and a pain in the neck but it can also save lives if practiced faithfully. I'm not sure that 13 agents being in the camp means anything as they need to have some people there 24/7 for security and they can't always be out in the field.

In 2012 when this POS domestic terrorist president is booted the hell out of the oval office.

WASHINGTON – The suicide bomber who killed eight people inside a CIA base in eastern Afghanistan last week was a Jordanian doctor recruited by Jordanian intelligence, a former senior U.S. intelligence official and a foreign government official confirmed Monday.
The bombing killed seven CIA employees_ four officers and three contracted security guards_ and a Jordanian intelligence officer, Ali bin Zaid, according to a second former U.S. intelligence official. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the incident.
The former senior intelligence official and the foreign official said the bomber was Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, a 36-year old doctor from Zarqa, Jordan. NBC News first reported the bomber's identity.
He was arrested more than a year ago by Jordanian intelligence and was thought to have been persuaded to support U.S. and Jordanian efforts against al-Qaida, according to the NBC report. He was invited to Camp Chapman, a tightly secured CIA forward base in Khost province on the fractious Afghan-Pakistan frontier, because he was offering urgent information to track down Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's right-hand man.

Our CIA is a joke. I firmly believe that. To not even search a guy for weapons before he walks into camp is inexcusable. When are we going to start reaching out to countries like Israel and learn how an intellegence agency is supposed to run?
We should get out of there. I have been a big supporter of these wars to a point but we have done all we can over there. That country is not worth the continued loss of life. We needed to go in there and clean out the terrorist, we did it and not much more can be gained. The pres will throw in the towel before we can get anything more done.
