Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default America has a better standing now in the world.

Can anyone back up that statement? I'm reading it a lot in the left wing articles without anything to back it up. So please, can anyone help out?

If anything, America has a poorer standing in the world than we did coming into this year. The Obama administration's domestic agenda has brought muddled results, but foreign policy has been nothing short of disastrous. This administration has all but thumbed its nose at some of our staunchest allies, our enemies still hate us (but perhaps fear us just a little less) and those in the middle who were indifferent to the U.S. but despised our foreign policy in regards to the war on terror still despise our policies because basically nothing has changed there. The dollar's value has tanked, and its importance when it comes to negotiating on the world stage can not be overlooked. All the blame for the dollar's free-fall can't be heaped on Obama, but his policies certainly haven't done anything to stop the bleeding...if anything, his policies have made it worse.

I just received an e-mail from a friend who lives in Jerusalem and he included some news we haven't seen in the American media. He included information that several Middle Eastern countries are in the process of making alliances with Iran or their surrogates because they don't have any faith in the U.S. to deal with them. The Iranian govt. just today killed a few more demonstrators who we have refused to support. This is an aspect the Left never acknowledges. If we don't lead, other countries who feel they can't count on us look elsewhere for their security and interests. I would bet Taiwan would be the next one cast to the wind. The "B Team" is definitely in charge.

Finally seeing the light? No. I don't feel any differently now than I did in January, or in the run-up to the November '08 election.

I just don't have a problem with calling nonsense when I see it on EITHER side of the political spectrum. Too many around here perceive any criticism of Republicans as being supportive of Obama/Democrats, and feel that I'm a liberal because I speak out on conservatives' shortcomings. Both perceptions are wrong.

No you get very confused between a RINO and a true conservative Republican.

You mean Obama's gifts of DVDs and an IPOD to British royalty has not paid big dividends?

Pretty evident with that statement right there. You may now kick your feet back up on the couch and you will be notified in November when it's time to do your civic duty and vote. That is if you really feel like putting forth that much effort.
