Time magazine names Bernanke 'Person of the Year'




NEW YORK: Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has been named Time magazine's "Person of the Year" for 2009.
Last year's winner was then-President-elect Barack Obama.
The 2007 winner was Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
Other previous winners have included Bono, President George W. Bush, and Amazon.com CEO and founder Jeff Bezos. - AP

To be fair, I believe Time Magazine has previously stated that "Person of the Year" doesn't necessarily mean "Most Wonderful"... It's the person who has had the greatest impact, whether good or bad...

1938 was Adolf Hitler...
1939 and 1942 was Josef Stalin...
1979 was Ayatolla Khomeini...

So, Obama and Bernanke are right in there with a bunch of other idiots...

Interestingly, every once in a while, Time makes a good choice. The last few years are not among them.
