Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Here we go again, or good move?

Quote from MSN on Obama article http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34416646...ss-us_business

President Barack Obama challenged top bankers Monday to explore "every responsible way" to increase lending, saying they were obliged to help after being rescued by taxpayers. He asked them to "take a third and fourth look" at their small-business lending.

So, good move, time for banks to help out, or here we go again, we got into this mess by forcing banks to loan where they shouldn't have.

I don't think it is the banker's fault. I think they would love to make good loans. That is how they make money. The real problem is why and how can small business even contemplate borrowing and expanding, or even starting a business when the see cap and trade, unknown health care legislation, and crippling tax increases right around the corner?

The President is economically illiterate.

Does Fanny and Freddie mean anything? My wife is vice president of a chain of Texas banks, I asked her if they were going to lower the lending standards.. she had a pretty short answer. NO!

They have no intentions of doing anything other than what they've been doing, making a profit.. without Obammys bail out money!!!!!

This is what caused many of the banks to go belly up was when congress got involved and told them they had to make these bad loans. Now the head dipstick wants them to do it again.

Sorry, I was assuming our great president was urging them to make "good" loans. I don't think you have to urge them to make "good" loans.

Obammy telling banks to lend mo money, mo money is like telling Wal-Mart to sell more goods!
Duh, that's how banks make money, no loans no profits, the problem lies in that there are less credit worthy people applying for loans.

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
