I hold a blue collar job. I eat out of a lunch box. Ol' Bush gets bashed by just about everybody....but I am grateful for George W. Bush. You see, I sold some property that was subject to capital gains taxes. During the Bush years, those taxes were greatly reduced. That allowed me to keep much more of my own money. The Bush era tax cuts will be expiring. The guy who lives in the white house now even wants to end them before they are due to expire. I'm just one of many working stiffs who doesn't want the government on my back. In 2006, the DOW was over 14,000. Then the Democrats got a congressional majority. We all know what's happened since. Hey, I'd take ol' "W" back in a heartbeat over what's living in the white house now. But that's just my opinion.

Many people agree with you. It may not be for the same reasons but he was indeed a great Pres. He was faced with some HUGE decisions and I believe he got most of them right. He did make some mistakes but overall, Id say he did a mighty fine job.

You’re kidding, right? As of today, the sign of a great president is to fly all over the world, dodging responsibility for photo shoots. Taking advantage of your position to allow perks for campaign contributor, like free rides and photos in Air force 1 (mind you all on the tax payers dollar). A real president constantly apologizing to other countries. A real president is suppose to keep the prior administration on trial so he can constantly point out his only credentials for office as not being the prior administration. A real president should have no idea of protocol or procedures. A real president allocates decisions to his majority leader and speaker of the house. A real president takes no responsibility, simply blames the prior president. A real president insures his voting bloc that he will pass bills to stimulate their pocketbooks. A real president will not address the public and take questions, he only shows up with teleprompter in hand, ready to deliver a speech to tell us what is best for us. A real president constantly reminds the public that he is the president, in a arrogant fashion. Only a real president bows to monarchs. I could go on and on. Glad I could point out the obvious to you.

America , Canada , all Europe .......
needs a President like this.
Prime Minister
Kevin Rudd
Australia
Muslims who want to live
under Islamic Sharia law were told
on Wednesday to get out of Australia ,
as the government targeted radicals
in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
Separately,
Rudd angered
some Australian Muslims
on Wednesday by saying he supported
spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
Quote:
'IMMIGRANTS,
NOT AUSTRALIANS,
MUST ADAPT.
Take It Or Leave It.
I am tired of this nation
worrying about whether we are
offending some individual or their culture.
Since the terrorist attacks on Bali ,
we have experienced a surge in patriotism
by the majority of Australians.'
'This culture has been developed
over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories
by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak mainly ENGLISH,
not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic,
Chinese, ***anese, Russian,
or any other language.
Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society,
learn the language!'
'Most Australians believe in God.
This is not some Christian,
right wing, political push, but a fact,
because Christian men and women,
on Christian principles, founded this nation,
and this is clearly documented..
It is certainly appropriate to display it
on the walls of our schools.
If God offends you,
then I suggest you consider
another part of the world
as your new home,
because God is part of our culture.'
'We will accept your beliefs,
and will not question why.
All we ask is that you accept ours,
and live in harmony and peaceful
enjoyment with us.'
'This is
OUR COUNTRY,
OUR LAND,
and
OUR LIFESTYLE,
and
we will allow you every opportunity
to enjoy all this...
but, once you are done complaining,
whining, and griping about
Our Flag,
Our Pledge,
Our Christian beliefs,
or Our Way of Life,
I highly encourage you take
advantage of one other
great Australian freedom:
'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'
'If you aren't happy here,
then LEAVE.
We didn't
force you to come here.
You asked to be here.
. During the Bush years, those taxes were greatly reduced.
Income taxes on lower wage earners were also reduced by 33% under the same tax reform. At the same time, the democrats successfully predicated the lie that the Bush tax cuts benefited "only the rich."
It was interesting to watch that piece of history as it rolled out. To this day there are many people who will repeat the lie that the Bush tax cuts only provided a benefit for the rich.
If I am not mistaken the lower income tax brackets pays less tax now then they did 5 years ago.
Don't forget Mr. Bush on paper put us into a bigger defecit than in the history of our country and since Vietnam got us into a worthless war that cost us 1,000's of lives and left 10,000's of disabled vets we will pay for for the next 50 years. Oh, that war cost us a trillion and 7 years after he claimed victory we are pulling out and the locals are still bombing everyone and killing 100's.
Iraq, Red cross estimated 500,000 killed and another 2,000,000 refugees have moved to the US and now we will pay for them for the next 50 years.
Oh don't forget that great pres and congress allowed the supposed horrible housing activities to continue for 6 years and now more than likely your house is work 20% less than it was 3 years ago.
Yep life was good.
Please don't respond with what Obama is "GOING" to do. History will show the real results the rest is just your BS.
One thing for sure. The Bush tax cuts doubled the national debt.
I'd kinda like to see the math on that one. I thought the cuts spurred economic growth and ultimately resulted in increased tax revenue. The increase in the national debt was the result of uncontrolled spending.

I might be in left field here, but didnt the Clinton recession get cut short by the tax breaks??? I keep hearing about what Obama inheritied, what about Bush? Bush inherited the tech bubble burst and started his first year in office with a recession, not to mention 9-11. Then came two major Hurricanes, etc. etc.. America has a very weak memory.
