Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default 40,584 tons of carbon dioxide created to talk about cleaning it up.

Talk about your global warming . . . When an estimated 16,500 delegates, activists and reporters descend upon Copenhagen Monday for the United Nations Climate Change Conference, a lot of hot air will follow.
The U.N. estimates the 12-day conference will create 40,584 tons of carbon dioxide equivalents, roughly the same amount as the carbon emissions of Morocco in 2006.

Reminds me. We, my company actually hired a lady to be director of green, we call her. Her job is to go around and figure out how we can be green.

So she went around and put these rubbermade alum can refuse containers. Bought over 10,000 mugs to hand out. Printed out 500 full color signs telling us to be green. Wasted over 500man hours in my building alone explaining how to be green.

I asked the question how many alum cans will it take to compensate for the making and distributing of greenhouse gases to spread all these things around. She looked at us with a straight face and said "none". I just had to sigh.

From what ive seen, that is what a green job is. Paying someone to promote green activities, at the expense of the employer and the green notion itself.

So how can they really call for global change, when they themsleves have the biggest carbon footprint. That is my biggest issue. Is a video conference out of the question? Instead they make a greater carbon footprint, than an entire country does in a year, and they want us to be more green. If it were not for the hypocricy, the reduction of CO2 would be easier to sale.
