Frankly, anyone stupid enough to not place their real property into an irrevocable trust to avoid the estate tax probably deserves to pay it, but here's a thought: Since Congress and Barry have repeatedly demonstrated that such a paltry sum as $20B is meaningless to them, then why not just abolish the estate tax entirely?

This is not new. This was set in place at the time the Bush-era tax cut was born...it was the only way they could get it passed as I recall.
