So could I. I have never really considered Cheney a politician. That is what I like about him. He really has never cared about what people thought about him. That is why he is probably considered the strongest VP to ever hold office, and he took the job with the understanding he had no interest in running for the presidency.
Everything he has said about the way Obama is handling the threat posed to us by our enemies is spot on. He is saying exactly what needs to be said, and if he were president, he would be exactly what we need. Our enemies abroad, and our enemies within would not have an ally in the White House that they presently enjoy.
I don't really see it happening though. I don't really know if he want's it. His health is probably a big factor, but the question is out there.
How much life does Darth Vader have in him. I think probably more than any liberal or lily livered moderate would like to believe.

Cheney is probably less electable than Sarah Palin. But I've always had a healthy dose of respect for Cheney. The media was largely successful in portraying him as some sort of monster, but I think that his conservative credentials are fairly strong. There are precious few of them left on the political landscape.

You got that right. He's not "good on TV," ya know. Not charismatic enough, not a minority or female.
Palin I'd vote for. She could be an ignorant, incompetent buffoon and do less economic and foreign policy damage than this clown has in his first 6 months in office, but at least she's got nice legs. We're down to that. If we can't have a leader, if we must have buffoons, give me a female buffoon that's easy to look at.

CI is surprised that the veteran VC could be lured in by some long sexy legs, batting eye lashes and a supple body. Then again we are talking about Tina Fey. If Palin did get elected then Tina could act as her body double in important functions like interviews etc.

Liz made a comment a few weeks back about Cheney for Prez. However, I think it's her that might take a shot.

Wake me up when this is all over.
I guess that's why you voted for Obama.. You liked his legs this much.
