This is how it's done guys. You don't just walk. You fight for what you believe in and in politics you need to be organized and stay on message instead of jumping to the party of fickle people with no meaning in politics.
So conservatives as I have pointed out many times are fighting for control of the Republican party. We will field candidates that adhere to our principles. If your a RINO, you won't get party money. The one thing I would do different is have * next to the principles you must adhere to and agree with. For now, they are proposing you only need to agree with 70%. It's not far enough, but you have to get in the door before you can make them stronger.
Here is the list:
Quote:
GOP LITMUS TEST 1. Smaller government, smaller national debt, lower deficits and lower taxes by opposing bills like Obama's “stimulus” bill. 2. Market-based health care reform and oppose Obama-style government run health care. 3. Market-based energy reforms by opposing cap and trade legislation. 4. Workers' right to secret ballot by opposing card check. 5. Legal immigration and assimilation into American society by opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants. 6. Victory in Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting military-recommended troop surges. 7. Containment of Iran and North Korea, particularly effective action to eliminate their nuclear weapons threat. 8. Retention of the Defense of Marriage Act. 9. Protecting the lives of vulnerable persons by opposing health care rationing and denial of health care and government funding of abortion. 10. The right to keep and bear arms by opposing government restrictions on gun ownership.

Let's break apart the current rep party so only the Dem's will get into office. Most of the people who want what you say, if they actually got it they would move to a Dem anyway.
Just like all of the "Conservative" ranchers and farmers out west voting strong for Conservative ideas then opening up and cashing their CRP check every year. I will talk the talk but don't make me walk the walk. I am different than the rest.
The #1 problem the so called conservatives have is religion, gay marriage and Abortions. I find it impossible to think of how people can call themselves christians and then oppose a loving relationship amongst two humans.
Next they will oppose handicap people from living a complete life, because it doesn't fit their bill.
Farm wqelfare, who brought us that? If you say the Democrate, go to the head of the class. LOL
Who opposes a loving relationship between two humans? I don't know a single person. However, it's you guys who want to call it what it isn't, a marriage.
Abortions, majority of americans today are against abortions.
Handicap people, where do you come up with these things? FYI, it's the Dems and tree huggers that put places in America off limits from handicap people. Many places in the national parks in CO where a motorized wheel chair or other hidicap vehicles are off limits courtesy of the Dems. Shocking isn't Will when you actually take time to understand the lies your party you blindly support are revealled.
So I ask you Will, what on that list don't you agree with?

Reagan would pass any part that would accelerate government spending and defecits.
My reference to handicap was just bringing up a comparison of someone who is unfortunately gay and someone who is handicap. Believe me, I have friends who are gay and I know of many handicap people. In reality they are not very different. They have been stuck with something that brings upon many challenges, and if you have a discussion with many of them you will find that being gay is not something they would wish upon anyone.
Will it was the dems who controlled the spending during Reagan years and they spent 1.75 for 1.00 increase in revenue.
2. being handicap isn't a choice. Being gay is a choice.
boysda, I disagree with you 100%

I don't recall the great pres Reagan ever not signing a bill or during his state of the union address ever pleading his case to stop the spending.
He was the guy with the pen, CORRECT????
Until anyone so ignorant as yourself ever realizes that being Gay is not a choice nothing will ever change. I had a previous boss/owner who was gay and the mental anxiety he dealt with being gay is something no one would want. In his words paraphrased "why would anyone make a choice to be gay"
i'm shocked.... but,
reagan presided over a huge increase in spending, and shares some responsibility
reagan supported an amnesty program, if i'm not mistaken,
as i recollect, reagan voiced support for the brady bill
reagan supported a gay civil rights initiative when he was governor of california,
reagan disregarded a request for more troops in beirut from the theater commander.
