Former Obama Organizer Starts Web Site to Target Homosexual Priests to ‘Encourage’ Them to Repudiate Catholic Moral Stand on Homosexuality--Or ‘Out’ Them

(CNSNews.com) – A longtime Washington, D.C., liberal Internet activist has founded a Web site that he says will collect accounts of homosexuals in the Catholic priesthood--accounts he will use to “encourage” them to change their views on homosexual marriage and other issues.

“Outing” the priests--publicly revealing their homosexuality--is “not off the table,” Phil Attey, founder of the Web site ChurchOuting.com, told CNSNews.com. The site will also collect information on straight priests who have broken their vow of celibacy, using the information to “encourage” those priests to go against their Church’s teachings on homosexuality as well.

“This is a campaign to collect information about closeted gay Catholic priests, as well as heterosexual Catholic priests who secretly engage in romantic or sexual affairs, yet are unwilling to speak out against the church leadership's anti-gay political campaigns,” the Web site says.

Do whatever you have to, to make the church come "OUT" and tell the truth so we can get over all of this.

The Pope has said they must live their lives a certain way and that is it. Until that changes follow the rules.

The hidden molesting of children by priests has ruined lives of thousands and has notably changed the Catholic Church for at least my life on earth.

Another example of homo's forcing themselves on us for special treatment. Why can't they keep it in the bedroom? Why are they more important then everyone else?

I'm not sure the homos understand how the Catholic church is structured and how it operates. "Outing" a priest who is a closet homo will not have the effect of changing the rules or theology of the Catholic church, it will result in the homo priest being defrocked and removed from his office as a parish priest. I'm not sure how that contributes to the objectives of the homos, but hey, its a free country.

Who really cares about priests getting "outted"? I hope they do, the Catholic church has been long overdue to clean up it's act and actually practice what it preaches. Good riddance, I say.

I have my issues with the catholic church, however, do you have any recent issues of them not cleaning up their act kevin?

I hate to think of anyone being defrocked but I think this could only help the Church. If there are homosexual Priests who are giving in to their disease, they should be outed, one way or another. Maybe this will make them think twice before acting on their impulses. I'd appreciate knowing if a Priest in my parish, was engaged in homosexual activity.

As Als points out however, this isn't going to change anything in the Church teachings.
