I annouced this out loud in a restaurant last week in Denver when I saw Obama has rejected all war plans from his very own Generals he's appointed. He has abandon our troops on the battlefield while making puff speeches to some here at home. He is now decided to surrender afghanistan by looking for his quick exit stategy. How's that respect around the world now? Just like Nam all over again. We win the war and then cut off all funding and run.

Respect? After bowing to the Emperor of ***an. Next will be the long awaited bow to the China leader. Only difference, Obama is not going to face them. Just grab his ankles and smile.
On a positive notel; I feel this might be the last gasp at liberalisim. This administration appears to be throwing liberal caution to the wind. America is not going to stomach it much longer. This could all turn out in America's favor. That is if the mess is not to big to clean up afterwards.

Unintended consequences and God have one thing in common: Liberals don’t believe in either of them.
The US is now involved in a full fledged civil war in Afghanistan. Matter of fact, NATO troops are doing most of the fighting in that civil war while the Afghan army wusses off. The so called Afghan government is a total joke. Karzai almost never visits Afghan troops in the field; with good reason. He might get shot by one of his own troops. At least one fourth of recent NATO casualties in Afghanistan are
is caused by Afghan troops, militia or police attacking NATO troops
The various commanders in Afghanistan have been begging for more troops for years. It did not suddenly fall all to crap on Obama's watch. Bush did not get enough boots on the ground to get the job done. Yep, the Taliban left. Then they came flooding back into the country because there was no one to stop them. Bush bought into a ploy by the Saudi king to negotiate with the Taliban. The Bush-Cheney-Rove cabal sat on a troop request from the US Afghan CG for eight months.
On February 18, 2009 Obama approved a troop increase for Afghanistan. It is probably much too late to win this one.
The new troop deployment is expected to include 8,000 Marines from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, as well as 4,000 additional Army troops from Fort Lewis, Washington.
"This increase is necessary to stabilize a deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, which has not received the strategic attention, direction and resources it urgently requires," Obama said in a written statement.
"The Taliban is resurgent in Afghanistan, and al Qaeda supports the insurgency and threatens America from its safe haven along the Pakistani border." See what CNN's Barbara Starr says about the increase on the AC360 blog
Another 5,000 troops will be deployed at a later date to support combat troops, bringing the total to 17,000 the Defense Department said. A senior administration official confirmed the total.
Horse hockey falcon. It's not too late and Afghanistan wasn't going down hill until after Al Qeada got their butts handed to them in Iraq. It was at that time they refocused their efforts on Afghanistan coupled with a stepped up war against them from the pakistan side. Furthermore, Iran also switched where it was supplying weapons from Iraq and stepped it up in Afghanistan. Iran is central to all this turmoil and we have a pres that is nothing but an appeazer.
Isn't it funny all along the campaign trail we heard Iraq was the wrong war but Afghanistan was the right war we must win. Now that the great organizer is in office, we now have Afghanistan being the wrong war or a war we can't win. Petreaous showed and proved how to win in conflicts like this one. Obama hand picked his very own General. He followed the Bush strategy when he got into office by adding more troops. Now just like a Democrat, he turns his back on troops when they are in harms way. It's very sad and no wonder why troop moral is way down in the dumps.

Leave it to FM to put a positive spin on anything that an incompetent Republican does or does not do. Fact is that Obama has doubled the number of combat troops in Afghanistan.
In Feb. of this year Mr. Juan McAmnesty up and declared that the US was losing the war in Afghanistan. Wonder why McCain suddenly decided that the US was losing the war after only three weeks of the Obama administration?
Reporting from Washington - President Obama ordered his first major deployment of U.S. combat troops Tuesday, authorizing 17,000 additional soldiers and Marines for Afghanistan in what he described as an urgent bid to stabilize a deteriorating and neglected country.
The deployment will double the number of American combat brigades in the nation at a time of tension with Afghanistan's weak government over civilian casualties of the campaign against the increasingly bold Taliban, and concern over neighboring Pakistan's ability to fight Islamic militants based there.
In 2007 Sec Def Gates had a hissy fit because NATO refused to sent more troops to Afghanistan.
Quoting UN and independent monitoring groups, the newspaper says that violence has increased significantly in Afghanistan for the second straight year, spreading from the southeast to areas close to Kabul.Coalition deaths, including 94 US soldiers killed, already exceed the full-year total for 2006.The Post points out that the disparity of effort among Nato members continues to be significant.
The United States contributes 15,100 troops to the 41,000-member Nato-led international force, known as ISAF, and deploys another 13,000 in counterterrorism operations.
Leave it to falcon for not addressing my post one bit but once again doing spinning of his own. If you recall in 2007 we were dealing with stabalizing Iraq. Afghanistan wasn't the big issue. Was it growing bigger yep because of the reason's I pointed out. However, it still doesn't address the earlier post that Obama is surrendering in Afghanistan. You watch, Iraq will once again be in play.

Hamid Karzai, known to his countrymen as the "lord mayor of Kabul" for his reluctance to leave the capitol, wants to negotiate with the Taliban: So did George Bush. There is some indication that Obama also wants to negotiate with the Taliban.
In the end it will not matter if the US sends 250,000 troops to Afghanistan, that country will revert to its traditional tribal warlord status as soon as the US troops leave. You can't build a democracy out of warring tribes.
Shiite ran Iraq will totally ally itself with Iran as soon as US troops are gone from the place.

And what does all this have to do with finding Osama? Remember Obama's campaign?????
