Swine flu is a joke. Roared through my school, and now everyone's back in class as though nothing had happened. Whoopdee-****...
Furthermore, those working on Wall Street 1) can get sick and spread disease around New York and the world just as anyone else can, and 2) help keep the economy moving forward so that we all benefit in the end...
Swine flu is not a joke if you're immuno-compromised, or have other health conditions that put you at risk. It kills just as fast as the regular seasonal strain. But I'm sure the bankers don't want to miss work...
Been a Type I diabetic for 16 years. Came close to dying of the flu about five years ago. Ended up in the hospital and out of work for two weeks. Still, not all flus are equal.
I was just at the VA hospital yesterday. No shots . I am on the priority list, But none for me. They dont care about the old and sick,if we die that will be more money for the rich politicians
All kinds of good stuff happens to the Wall St. fat cats; The federal government has seen to that. Nothing good is happening to the millions of Americans out of work because of the actions of those Wall St. fat cats.
Well, as a transplant patient I was told by my primary doctor to beg, borrow, or steal my way to both the seasonal and H1N1 vaccines this year. Unfortunately Upstate Med Center only had enough doses for urgent in-house needs, so I had to look elsewhere. I finally got put in touch with a semi-local pediatrician who laid hands of 10 doses of H1N1 vaccine, he cut through the legal red tape, and hooked me up.
I think its absolute bull**** to be sending this vaccine to people and places that don't urgently need it when there are people and medical centers who do need it that are having a hard time getting it.
We all want it, but there just isn't enough. I don't take it personally. We're all statistics to the CDC.
