Default Bush's Tax Cut?

With Obama in the toilet and the overwhelming evidence liberal job creation ideas are a flop (unless the liberals really are serious for us to be more like Europe, then 10% unemployment is = full employment), what do you want to bet, they end up extending the "EVIL" Bush tax cuts (set to expire next year) at least 4 more years?

I don't know man. A tax cut to a Liberal is a taboo thought.

If they want to keep the reins they'd be suicidally stupid not to extend them in an election year.

I believe they will let the Bush Tax Cut expire. If it required them to take positive action, maybe they wouldn't do that. In this case, without the Democrats taking any action the Tax Cuts will expire. My guess is that this will happen. It might even be possible for Democratic leadership -- a minority portion of the Democratic party -- to prevent any proposal to extend the tax cuts coming to the floor for a general vote.

If they extend the cuts, they'll "blame" Bush as the reason for having to do it.

The problem with the Bush tax cuts is that they weren't as big as the tax cuts currently in the Obama stimulus plan. Do some research. They were the largest in the history of the USA.

Oh I am sorry, did I post some facts that won't allow you to bash Obama's plan.

Almost every american is now paying less federal tax than they did 5 years ago.

Agian, if it were just that easy. If you give a token tax break, then raise taxes short after (which will have to happen due to the stimulus bill, possible healthcare bill, cap and trade, and all the other etitlement programs headed our way) it kind of negates the act. It is still all to be seen. Im not holding my breath.

And to address one of my concerns about the up coming taxes, Ill just pic the possibility of Tax and trade passing. A bill that Obama supports and wants passed. Cap and trade will be the biggest tax hike in history. $161 billion, which is $1,870 for a family of four. When it kicks in the number will rise to $6,800. (info from the Heritage Foundation and Waxman-Markey itself). I know, there are lots of ifs in my scenario. Just another part of the whole picture.

What BHO tax cut? You mean the $13/week that goes to $8 in Jan? How do you spend yours every week? Did you buy a Vette with that extra cash?
