Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default One more time on health care.

After listening for months to the hype from both side, studying what little is really pretty well settled and the rumors that are turning out to probably be true, I have come to the conclusion that this folly just is not going to work.

Here is what I am betting will happen in the case of my family. We have good insurance through the wife's job. I am covered by that plus we have one of the very best VA medical centers in the country. What looks the most likely so far is that within a couple years, we will pay more than we pay now and have much less coverage. I can see no way that that will not be retioning of health care. I am sure in my mind that the Government can make what we have now, much worse. What they are talking about now is a shell game that a third grader can see through. My cousin just discovered that even though there is no cost of living raise for SS for two years, they are jacking up their medicare premium buy a good bit.

Add that to the clean energy, cap and tax program and I see bleak times ahead and i hope I am wrong.

Had to vent a little, I am so damn sick of this liberal free spending administration.

I'm with you James. The main stream media isn't doing their duty because they have thrown in with the Dems hook, line and sinker. I heard about an AP story a few weeks ago and they analyzed a family of 4 making 63K a year. That's not a lot of money to many private citizens out there but it's too much to a Dem. The article went on to say there insurance would be around $7,500/year. Boy that sounds good doesn't it? That is until you look into the details. Their insurance and for many in America is an increase. The average family plan in America is less than 6K. So now on the face of that the increases is only $1,500. Nope, need to look into the government details a little more. Turns out, the real cost for the new plan was around 11k but the ever so compasionate Dems were going to give that family tax credits of $3,500 to reduce their burden. That is until the Dem's need that money back. How exactly is that making insurance cheaper?

It is going to drive UP the cost of health care. If you already have a good plan, start planning that you will loose it or pay even more for it. The Senate bill will leave at least a third of the uninsured out and stick it to those who have insurance now. Anyone who thinks that the government getting into our health care will make it anything but worse, has not been around long.

i will bet that no one in the media or congress has ever read the proposed healthcare plan. If the "plan" is anything like what i think it is we will have rationed healthcare and working folks will pay more for their healthcare.

The US really does need healthcare reform. We do not need the proposed Democrat healthcare plan. It does bother me that the Republicans in congress have no plan. It is well that they keep complaining about the crazy plan put forth by the Democrats but they steadfastly refuse to come up with a plan of their own.

This goes way beyond health care! This is a political game that was started with the Clinton's but they didn't have enough muscle to implement it! The Demo's are going to ram this down the throats of American's before we have a chance to vote their sorry butts out of office. That sorry Fatherless person that was elected president is leading the charge, he knows he doesn't have a snow balls chance in hell of ever being elected to anything in the world again is leading the way to America's down fall.
The Democraps are America's worst enemy!

We're going to end up with something Iam sure. A watered down care program that will dictate the public option at a later time, slipped in with another bill further down the road. I think we are in deep trouble.

The republicans have offered four or five programs that I favor over anything the Dems have put out there so far. My gripe with them is why the hell they didn't do it when they were in the position to do so?

So long as both parties want to let the border issue the way it is, I can't support either party. That is the number two issue of all to me, right after GUN CONTROL.

BTW, no matter what they tell you, the health care bill, no matter which one they pass, will cover illegals. That is a matter of Law that they don't want people to know about. The Judge on Fox went through that and says the Supreme court has already ruled that any legislation of tat kind, must cover ALL the people in this country, legal or not.

Seems the Dems have stepped in it with the unions with there tax on "Cadillac" plans. They're not happy that the plans they fought for are going to be taxed. This could get interesting.

Yes is could. I don't think that we have seen anything compared to how bad it will get with Uncle Sam at the helm. This can't work, it never has and it never will. They want to follow the disaster that this has been everywhere it was ever tried. This is just a Government control program.
