Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default interracial couples

what do you guys think about the justice that wont marry interracial couples? I can see where hes coming from with thinking about the future kids not being accepted. This was an issue way back in fur trade era when trappers would breed with indian girls. Neither the white or even the Indian sides would accept the " half breed" Not to mention the racism they got from both parents people. Of course now obama is getting in on it, i swear that guy and his ears need to stay out of other peoples business. After all he is the one who made a speech to other black fathers to man up and stay with their families and to raise their kids.

Your thoughts?

You never know who you will fall in love with. I can see his point but it would never fly, nor should it. And I am a redneck.

There is only one race, The Human Race which comes in many Colors, that's kinda backward thinking, who would have thought that a Mulatto would be president of teh USA and born in Kenya at that.

If a couple is open minded, both of them, I can see interracial couple easily working. Marriage is tough. I got a friend who married a Flip, and it just seems like the extra struggle of two different cultures is too much. I used to hate interracial marriages, but I personally know a few that work out nicely. No justice has a right to say what a couple should be doing.

We are all interracial. AS for myself some races appeal to me and some do not. I suspect this is the case with the vast majority of people.

I don't think that a Justice has the right to deny anyone a marriage provided it is legal in the state that he presides in. I can see a priest refusing to marry interracial couples though.

It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

Thats right, the justice has a job, and this is one of them. If he is no longer able to do his job, you have to find one that will. I don't fault the judge on his convictions no matter if they could be misguided.

I have refused to marry a Catholic and a Jehovah's Witness. There were also several other couples I refused.

I will and have option to refuse to marry anyone for any reason, but race has never and never will be an issue for me.

I think local, state, and federal officials need to officiate. There's no legal excuse not to do one's job in this case.

If it's legal in that particular state yes, but a minister can use his own judgment. If same sex marriages were legal in Texas, I still would not marry them. I would REFUSE even if I were put in jail for it.

If I felt that interracial marriages were wrong, I'd refuse to marry them, and it would be my right!
