Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Interesting view by London Times on Obama's peace prize

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle6867711.ece

I think this is going to be tough for Obama. Dont get me wrong, this is of no doing by Obama, and in my oppinion is somewhat unfair to him. Puts him in a tough spot. I feel it is a mockery of the prize.

Quote:
Rarely has an award had such an obvious political and partisan intent. It was clearly seen by the Norwegian Nobel committee as a way of expressing European gratitude for an end to the Bush Administration, approval for the election of America’s first black president and hope that Washington will honour its promise to re-engage with the world.
Instead, the prize risks looking preposterous in its claims, patronising in its intentions and demeaning in its attempt to build up a man who has barely begun his period in office, let alone achieved any tangible outcome for peace.

I love this comment at the bottom of the page.

The NPP has been a farce for many years now and this just solidifies what a joke it has become even more.

I mean, Al Gore won it for God's sake and he did it by beating out a woman that managed to rescue thousands of children from Nazi camps, place them into foster homes, got caught and nearly beaten to death.

Are you frigggin kidding me?

Screw the Nobel Peace Prize and the people running it. It wouldn't surprise me if they were completely corroupt and bought off just like everything and everyone else that use to have meaning, morals, pride.
