Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default I'm a law breaker now and proud of it!

NC now has made throwing away plastic bottles against the law as of Oct. 1. What a fricking joke. When will this crap ever end?

How do they enforce that?

We have "spare the air" days where I live. It's supposed to be against the law to have a fire in your fireplace on those days. I'm supposed to save energy, but turning off my furnace and using my fireplace is "illegal" about 30% of the winter???

I had two people show up to my house and say they noticed smoke comming from my chimney on a spare the air day. I responded that they must be mistaken. Maybe their eyesight was failing them. Or perhaps it was steam. They asked if they could come in and check. I said not without a warrant.

They returned with a very pissed off Cop. He was mad at being there, not at me. He asked if I would let them check. He made sure I was aware that this was a city ordinance and he would never attempt a warrant for such a thing, nor did he think he could get one. So I again, said thank you, but no, no one is comming in my house.

That seemed to solve it.

Even if they were going to go through your garbage cans, how can they prove you put it in there and not a passer by?

Hey, if people can justify drugging and sodomizing a 13 year old girl, I think we can forgive you of your crime.

But, don't get caught. I'm sure you will pay if you do.

I remember I lived in NJ for 5 months, and we had to have three different bins. One for biodegrabables, one for plastic, and one for metal and glass.

I didn't really mind. Recycling isn't a bad idea, the question is, are there any benefits besides saving the environment? I would imagine recycling makes it cheaper to manufacture products.

But I don't see how a hunter who complains about their wetlands being polluted with bottles and Sprite cans is going to complain about not being able to throw his plastic in the same trash can.....just doesn't add up. Go one way or the other.

We've started the recycle thing we I live but so far it's voluntary.
But with the idiot Mayor we have I'm sure we're not too far behind.

Kanga, I'm going to drive by your house to check that you are recycling on trash day!
