Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Please read my response to your other post about this.

You justify one bad act with a bad act of the past. Very nice.

But on that list, which one has a track record like Obama's

Missed the point again Burnie. Where did I say that either prez was wrong for having Czars?

I think Bush's Czars were fine - he could have had 100+ for all I cared, the president is allowed to do this, no matter the party.

The neocons got theirs, now Obama should be allowed to have his.
This pretend outrage is absurd and makes the neocons look silly and petty.

No, and there isn't in the current lot either. Though in the former bunch there may have been some admitted fascists who hated the Bill of Rights.

Some day Americans may wake up the the fact that all the Democrats and Republicans in DC are lying sacks of crap. Democrats and Republicans are as alike as two crap sandwiches on moldy rye bread.

Throw all of the perps out of DC.

The outrage has not been about "czars" but about the insane views of the idiots Obama has been putting in those positions. Van Jones WAS an admitted communist. Thankfully, he was caught on tape espousing absolutely unsupportable and ridiculous beliefs and had to resign. Anyone who believes that Cass Sunstein ought to be in a position of power is an absolute moron. There were NO Bush appointees who held the types of extremist radical views that have been put forth by some of the lunatics Obama has brought in to his administration.

So... I've named an admitted communist appointed by Obama. How about you point out one of these "admitted fascists" appointed by Bush.

And as far as "admitted fascists who hated the Bill of Rights," which of the first ten amendments are your referring to? What is the position of Obama's Czars on the 2nd of these ten amendments? What is the position of Obama's Czars on the freedom of speech of talk radio hosts and generally the free dialogue on the healthcare bill pending in Congress? I'm not comfortable that the Obama administration, the Obama Czars, the Democratic Senate, or the Democratic House are pure of heart when it comes to either the first amendment or the second amendment -- the first two items in the Bill of Rights.

#1.) Bush did not have 46 czars at once. There were 31 positions, and a total of 46 persons were nominated for them over the life of his presidency. So it's more accurate to say he had 31 czars.

#2.) Obama has already exceeded the number of czars Bush had, at 32.

#3.) Using the term czar and trying to reach an absolute measurement for any president is pointless. Czar isn't an official title, just an informal nickname given to any number of positions within an administration. There were several positions that were never referred to as "czars" until during the Bush administration. Also, the press began pushing the term czar during Bush's administration after the term was little used during previous administrations. So you can't accurately say that Bush had so many more czars than Clinton or his father (and the same is true with Obama). The term is open to too much interpretation to derive an exact number of so-called czars from any administration.

#4.) Yes, the Republican outrage over the czars not testifying before Congress is more of the faux outrage so often expressed by both parties, and it is an insult to the American people who are paying these yahoos to represent the nation instead of engaging in petty bickering. People in these same positions didn't testify before Congress during previous administrations, so get over it and move on.

#5.) Yes, the views of some of the czars appointed by Obama is very disturbing, and I would say unprecedented.

There is no proof that van jones is a communist, there is no proof that there were any fascists. I responded to a post of Hyperbole with more hyperbole. If folks want to post rational posts, they'll get responses of like kind.

This whole outrage mess is untenable for the republicans. They'd best stick to real issues rather than wasting time on an unwinnable battle such as this. Outrageous and laughable.

"Mommy! Sally got 12 gumballs and I only got 11! Mommy mommy (sob sob)"

Yeah that about sums up the tripe being peddled on the Czar thing.
