Zazi Planned To Use Hydrogen Peroxide Bombs

The terrorist suspect Zazi planned to make hydrogen peroxide bombs (Triacetone Triperoxide). This is the explosive that was used in the London bombings. The ingredients used to make this explosive are easily obtainable and the formula is a simple one. However, this explosive is very unstable and dangerous: It often detonates prematurely.

NEW YORK – Najibullah Zazi went from Pakistan to suburban Denver beauty shops in a hunt for the supplies and skill to make hydrogen peroxide bombs for al-Qaida, authorities charged in papers describing one of the most significant post-9/11 terror threats to the United States.

The 12-page memorandum outlining the alleged conspiracy also used the repeated phrase "and others," evidence of a possible al-Qaida cell plotting a homemade bomb attack on U.S. soil.
Zazi, a 24-year-old coffee cart owner in New York and Denver airport shuttle driver, was charged in New York with conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction. He was to appear in court in Denver on Friday.

More details on yet another attempted act of terrorism, this one involving men who were arrested back in July. Quoting from the AP story “Federal prosecutors say two North Carolina terrorism suspects plotted to kill U.S. military personnel and obtained maps of a Marine base in Virginia to plan an attack. A superseding indictment returned Thursday against Daniel Patrick Boyd and Hysen Sherifi is the first time authorities have said the men had specific targets. Prosecutors said Boyd obtained maps of Virginia's Marine Corps Base Quantico to plan an attack. Prosecutors have previously said the men went on training expeditions in the weeks leading up to their arrests in July, practicing military tactics with armor-piercing bullets on a property in rural North Carolina. Seven men are awaiting trial in the case and investigators say an eighth suspect is believed to be in Pakistan.”

I hear ya Alsatian. I'm an avid blackpowder hunter. I've been worried to death that one of these nuts will get caught with a large quantity of BP (easy to get with no ID check) and then all hell will break loose on us traditional hunters. Hope for the best I suppose

My mother thought hydrogen peroxide could cure any scrap,cut,etc.You'll need a prescription next.

Don't worry. These guys aren't part of the "good" Muslims in America. Just some more of those "fringe" Muslims. Nothing to worry about.
