Need a link for the request of more troops...

Heard on the radio today that there was a leak of a general report for a request of more troops and new stratagey plan for the war. Amazingly, I can't find a link to this. The only links I can find date back to request made to Bush for the very same thing. 1000's of these stories of there, but not this one.

Didn't Obama say he was going to bring our troops home during his campaign?

The request for more troops was made back at the end of August. As far as Obama's claim. He claimed Afghan was the real war and the real war he was going to fight. It was Iraq that he said was the wrong war and he was going to bring the troops home.

So, this report I heard today is in fact an earlier report? Seems this happened late last week, but there was a leak and it got to the press. The only thing the news said was that Obama would look over the stratagey before making a decision on send more troops. The way I took it this was a recent event. I could be very wrong, but I don't understand why it was on every radio station I listened to today.

It's been a leaked report aka wasn't suppose to get out. Rumors have been out there for weeks but Obama sitting on the fence to decide the best political strategy wasn't to be released. Like I said on a previous thread, if he's just now trying to think up a strategy after 9 months in office, why did he send 21k more 7 months ago without any strategy? This won't end well now that the White House is dirrecting things and changing the rules of engagement to a police action.
