Claims the "you lie" incident was racial in nature.

Me? I just thought the guy thought that the president was actually lying. The thought of the president's skin color never crossed my mind.

I wish I had Carter's insight into these matters. That is a very special gift.

if he was, then what was said was accurate and appropriate .... telling the truth is always a good thing

Actually, the Carter incident might prove to be the larger issue.

If one cannot challenge the current president on any issue what so ever without fear of side liners claiming racism, we will certainly have challenges stifled.

There is no question that everyone and every corporation in America currently bows to that fear in spades.

Carter needs to take his liver pills and go talk to commies. The only thing he has ever done well. I would guess carter would want Obama to bump him up on the bad president list. He has got to be sick of bottom feeding.

I have been to several speeches Carter has given. He is a briliant Physicist, but a horrible politician.

Carter's comment was uncalled for - because it is unknowable. Only Joe Wilson knows why he said what he said. Racsim? Very possible, but not proveable nor is there any evidence for it - in Wilson's case. Is there white racial hatred for Obama and blacks in general among some Americans? - you bet. However, excusing Wilson (big duane) because you agree with his point is no excuse. Wait till the president finishes, then air the concerns in the rebuttal. That's appropriate, and effectively what the republican leadership told Wilson when they spanked him for acting like a kid who needed a spanking. Chamber rules, decorum, courtesy and respect - look into them.

I didnt give much credence to what Jimmy said when he was president. I have even less respect for his current attempts to play grand old man of the left. He should stick to doing commercials for Habitat for Humanity or whatever other humanitarian causes he likes.

Typical m.o. for the left. ACORN gets exposed, cry "RACIST!". bho gets exposed, cry "RACIST!". Those of us who didn't vote for bho were accused to being racist (if we were white).

Now saying "you lie" is a racist remark, if the guy saying it is white and he says it to a guy that isn't? Puh-leeze........

As for carter, he's even less relevant now than he was when he was POTUS, if that's possible. Seems he's just dying to get one more 15 minute stint in the spotlight.
