Notion of a "trigger" in healthcare debate.
The new idea is to set a "trigger", a mandate for insurance companies to abide by. If they do not meet the mandate, the trigger will be tripped, which will set in motion a government option. This is a new push in congress.
Good idea, or bad???
I think this will just be a nice way of setting a standard that cannot be met, so a government option is a sure thing.

I'm telling ya, it's the intention of this Oministration to bankrupt the insurances companies, this way the Lib's can do whatever they want. No different than any other take overs they've had. They make the mafia look like girl scouts.
It's not that it's a transparent effort, and it's not that the goobs' intention is to take over the U.S. Health Care industry. This latest effort is even more insulting than the last effort ! Do they think the people are SO DUMB as to tihnk they're constructing a safety net 'just in case' the insurance companies don't knuckle under ? (the answer is YES for all the libs out here). Don't forget that every demo-fascist out there who matters has emphatically stated there will be a public option. Guess what....there will be a public option. The trigger will be a hair-trigger and the sear will be shaved and polished. 2010 seems too far distant an event to hope for it to save the republic....
Bingo VC, you might be learning but I'm not too sure.
The government can't define what the problem is but they know the solution. This reminds me of one of Reagan's most famous lines, "We're from the government and we're here to help.".
