Default VC - here are your Clunkers pic's

There were maybe 50 total auto's in the very back of the dealership, all marked as Clunkers. Some of the cars WERE pretty bad - an old van specifically, some had flats ..... but some were pretty good looking trucks, I'm sure there are a lot of people that would consider a few of these to be upgrades over what they're driving and I'm also sure there are 600,000 families in this country that would greatly benefit from having a running vehicle.

Obama and Co decided to destory these instead.

Lol, wow, those pictures change everything. I can see by looking at the pictures that these were road-worthy vehicles devoid of dangerous malfunction and worth far more than the dollars which were offered as trade.

You, sir, have got to be kidding me.

You been living under a rock or what? Are you unaware of how far we come in advances to keep the exterior of a vehicle looking good (compared to say the 60's and 70's when vehicles literally fell apart)? Has it not occurred to you that the cosmetics prove nothing?

Look at those vehicles and tell me which ones have bad transmissions. Which have the rear ends torn up? Which have serious engine problems or suspension problems so expensive that it is not worth repairing the vehicle. How many miles are on those vehicles?

You, sir, have got to be kidding me.

And you should decide that for them. According to you, those who participated are too stupid to look up the value of their vehicle and subtract from that the needed repairs and then compare figure to the offer put forth by the program. Who do you think you're kidding?

LOL - figured you'd respond as much.

See, you've lost touch with reality. I know quite a few people/families that'd be tearfully joyed to have any of those vehicles. If I could live on the land I have in N Arkansas I'd love to have one of those for a farm truck.

So you expect me to believe 600,000 ready to die auto's that had repairs so needed and expensive that it wasn't worth it were traded in ?

LOL AGAIN

You are some piece VC. Fact is you're wrong on the Clunkers, you know it but you're too proud to admit it. I can give you all the facts on how disasterous it was, on how it targeted only a small group, how it really only made money for the auto industry that funded Obama's campaign, how it's not "green" at all, etc etc and went so far as to dispell the myth that only old "clunkers" were traded in by providing pic's and STILL you're too proud to see how wrong you are.

You need to seriously self examine who you are.

Weren't the vehicles that are "clunkers" required to be in running condition as a condition of the scheme...er...program? That sure sounds familiar to me.

I thought the program was developed so the parts could be sent over seas? saudia rabia to be exact! i see truck after truck of parts and cars go to port and loaded on boats every day! i guess if "gas guzzlers are being used there" it doesnt effect (global warming) which by the way is as big of scam as cash for clunkers> (think about this) our economy crashed because "loans were givin to people who overextended themselves" we all know that "preditory lending" then we con them into buying new cars that they wouldnt have bought without the rebate? why?because they couldnt afford them! "WE THE PEOPLE"ARE SCREWED! IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW MANY AUTO LOANS GO DEFUNK(HUGE SURGE OF CAR SALES WHEN UNEMPLOYMENT IS HIGHER THAN EVER) LOL INTERESTING CONCEPT. ITS KINDA LIKE YOUR WIFE BUYING THINGS THAT YOU DONT NEED OR REALLY WANT AND SAYING "BUT HONEY I GOT A GREAT DEAL!IT WAS ON SALE!"

Seriously, I wouldn't have had a problem with this program if it were truly designed to benefit the businesses and the buyers AND there was plenty of money to fund it.

We all know that's not the case. Now the government is gonna have to create a stimulus package to bail out the financers when the loans default, bail out the dealerships when the money from the government never comes through, and pay me damages for all the tears I've shed over seeing so many beautiful Chevys die. sniff sniff.

Im driving two clunkers, by definition. 05 ford sport trac (which is a small truck) and a 06 Mercury moutaineer (small suv). Yep, both should be squashed.
