Right, they are waging war on the CIA, and hardworking Americans, and those stupid right wingers that cling to their guns and religion! The Nazi party and this administration sure have a lot of similarities.
As does not acknowledging the fact that in the early part of the last century the democrats and republicans held completely opposite ideologies and values than they do now.
In other words, today's left wingers are yesterdays right wingers...... nazi's.

I really wish more people would remember that!!!!!!!!!!

I could have sworn the Nazi's loved them a gestapo/secret intelligence/police. Obama dis-empowering the CIA is just like the Nazi's!!!
Uhhhh......yeah.
But what he was pointing out is that prior to about WWII(and sporadically after for about 20 years) , the Republicans were considered the liberal party, and Democrats were considered the conservative party.
So people need to realize when comparing the parties and talking history, you need to keep it in perspective. You need to keep in mind the time frame you are dealing with, so as to attribute it to the correct party.
And most importantly, you have to remember that liberalism did not mean the same thing. Neither did being a conservative. Things change, and people tend not to change with them. 70 years ago, no one, and I mean no one, was debating abortion. Or gay rights. Or gun laws. These things were taken by both parties to be constants that need not be considered. I'm certain that if you brought it up back then, no one would know what the hell you were talking about. Of course you can have guns. Of course you cannot get married to someone of the same sex. Of course we will not condone an abortion.
That's just the way it was. People tend to attack each other based on party affiliation, but sometimes bring up something the party did back when that party would have the opposite opinion it would have today.
For example, civil liberties and affirmative action. Most would agree that those two issues are championed by the liberal party. But it was Republicans who pushed most of the laws through that we consider "civil liberties." And it was largely Southern Democrats who fought against them. It's fact. But again, Rep's and Dem's were different back then.

So what is the deal here? Perhaps I am not understanding the hidden meaning here. The war on terror never stopped. We have increased troop levels in Afghanistan haven't we?

War on terror was not suppose to exist, according to the Obama administration. War on terror, war agians jihad, terrorist, etc, etc. were suppose to be "banned" words by the administration.
