Kevin
That was what I was thinking. Why has Obama called for a civil force equal to our military. Marx's, Hitler, Sadam and the likes keep comeing to mind. Also makes me wonder why 2 trillion dollars has been set aside for the Americorp.?????? Kind of fishy.

I might be paranoid, but this really concerns me.

I dunno? I didn't know the House and Senate had drafted such legislation for him to sign?

Maybe it was just campaign talk? That's the only time I heard it mentioned.

I wouldn't support such a thing.

However many republican Bu****es on this board likely would support Obama's idea. I have seen several times on this board some of the necons say they think military service should be mandatory for all able Americans - military/civilian defense corp. same thing to me.

I disagree.

PS. The religous right would likely have to support Obama's mandatory civil service idea (miltary-same thing) since Isreal does just that - and they RR is never allowed to disagree with Isreal.

This force would not answer to or be any part of the military and will answer only to osama. Like Beck asked, MR President, Who is the enemy that we must defend against? I don't think he will get a answer but I don't think that there is any question as to who his enemy would be.

Who said that?

You consider serving in the U.S. Military and serving in bho's private army to be the same thing?

Wow--in one short post you have exposed a massive amount of ignorance. You obviously know nothing about the military, Conservatives on this board, the "religious right".......kinda' like bho himself. Quite an accomplishment.

Why is it that you would defend someone who says one thing in a campaign and then does something totally different when elected? I'm not indicating Obama has the corner on this market, and I know you'll find something that Bush did to redirect this question, but I'm still going to ask it?

The only plausible explanation that I can come up with is that they are anticipating civil unrest due to the highly questionable actions of the administration and liberal progressive agenda and know that they can't count on the support of the military. I believe it can be summed up by the fact that it would be the liberal version of the SS and the Gestapo.
