Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Cool Those old folks who voted Democrat,

are about to get their reward.

"Social Security payments to shrink for the first time in a generation."

It's the gooberments way of thinning the herd. They'll all starve to death on such low pay.

Not worry, Obamacare won't let them suffer too long. It'll be the red pill for them.

I still remember it, It would not surprise me.

They cannot cut the amount of the payment but they will not give a pay raise. Or so I understand. They will not raise mine BUT I CERTAINLY DID NOT VOTE for the guy

And yet I bet Congress will get their COLA . Not like they are going to have a vote to deny it to themselves which is the only way that they wont get it by law.

What people fail to realise is that fact that when payment can't go down by law is complete BS. You have no right to SS. Congress has by law and backed by the Supreme Court every right to deny you any payment out of the SS system. Your F'd if you think other wise.

It's been my opinion for many years that the "straight ticket" lever should be removed from voting booths, if you're too stupid or lazy to pull only levers marked "D" then you don't deserve to vote anyway...

Agreed with your post to this point. Anyone dumb enough to vote a straight Democrat or Republican ticket should not be allowed to vote. The voters should throw all of the scumbags out of congress.

Straight party voting is the primary reason that nothing gets done in DC other than political corrurption. Congressional approval ratings are lower than whale crap. The attitude that everyone's elses congressional hack is no good: However, mine does a wonderful job is the reason these scumbags stay in congress forever.
