Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default More investigations!

House Democrats Seek Financial Records of Health Insurance Companies
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
By David Espo, Associated Press

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) (AP Photo)
Washington (AP) - Democrats on a House committee are seeking detailed financial records from dozens of large insurance companies, officials disclosed Tuesday, part of an investigation into "executive compensation and other business practices" in an industry opposed to President Barack Obama's plan to overhaul health care.

The request included records relating to compensation of highly paid employees, documents relating to companies' premium income and claims payments, and information on expenses stemming from any event held outside company facilities in the past 2 1/2 years.

Good Grief, hasn't anyone in Washington ever heard of free enterprise? Thing like this sicken me, next thing they are going to dictate what we all make. Business 101; make profits or go out of business!

Rev: I think you are missing the key point. Isn't this simply intimidation tactics?!!! If you don't get in line we're going to bust your heads! We'll cause you to burn a lot of time digging up information and making reports that you won't make any money from and we'll just keep sending you back to dig further until we get tired of it or you do our bidding. It reminds me of the line of that song from the 60's "step out of line and men come and take you away."

By the way, this isn't the first time the Obama-Reich has done this sort of thing. Welcome to change, folks. Seig Heil!

Alsatian is right. It is all about intimidating the insurance companies. Waxman is a really sorry and vindicative ultra-liberal scumbag.

I remember everyone telling us that when the Obama administration started getting into the bailouts, and hireing and fireing C.E.O.s that this would not snow ball. Smells awful fishy. Government getting into the workings of private buisnesses. Welcome to the new and improved United, Socialist, States, of America.

I think it was rather telling when Sen. Robert Byrd criticized President Obama’s appointment of White House “czars” to oversee federal policy, saying these executive positions amount to a power grab by the executive branch.

Hate to point out the liberal Byrd, but when he calls out a rat in his own party, it pretty much speaks volumes.

paint the picture that all the big corporations are all rats. All of the high paid executives are rats. Make the public believe, through the eye of the lib. run media, that the big guys are all bad guys. Making too much money is bad. All that money should be spread around, to all the little guys. Make the insurance companys look bad, makes government run insurance look good.
Sheesh, where's it going to end?
