Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Are you a great American?

I have been reading some of the more recent threads with references to the likes of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and even Barrack Oboma.

Funny how both sides have their hero's and spokes people who's words and wisdoms are the gospel and are right as rain when decisions need made for those of us who love America.

As a country I find Americans as hypocritical a bunch as exist any where in the world. Want some examples ?

How about religions, we certainly have that covered in America, the land of the free.

As Christians we are taught not to judge others, thats a good one huh!
How about God bless our troops, whose job is to kill people whom don't believe in what we do. I'm a little confused there. Isn't there some thing in there about thou shall not kill ?

How about firemen, all you have to do is put on a uniform and you are labeled a hero because in the past some firemen have shown bravery beyond what most men could wish to ever possess.
Is it the uniform or is it the society, that identifies whom hero worship is most deserving.

How about cops, don't go there you say? Does any one know of a more opportunistic organization? Are all cops bad ? Of course not is the first answer to come to mind but think about it. Kinda depends on how you look at, how close we want to "toe the line"
Rodney King was a criminal and so were the cops that beat him.
Is it an honest cop that bust some one for DUI yet pockets the weed he was in possession of just to "help him out" .Just wondering?

I have to run now, I know there are more out there to offend I just didn't want to do it all in the first post.

So how about it just how many of you are great Americans?

Just leave lawyers off your list, and we'll be fine...

Is the person who kills an abortion Dr. a murder or is that person in fact a life saving hero thus deserving great praise?

Or are they both doing us a public service by ridding the world of the undesirable souls while still leaving the rest of us with clean consciences and a ready made soap box from which to declare ourselves great Americans?

Is it a great American that builds a Crystal cathedral to worship a god who says to love thy neighbor, even the neighbors that live under a bridge ?

While on the next channel one of gods children holds a starving fly infested black child while instructing me where to send gods love and my money to make a difference today.
Is this confusing to anyone but me?

Are there really any great Americans?

This thread fails on so many levels...

Next time your house is on fire, spew this filth when the firemen show up to save your ass.

Next time you're robbed, don't call those crooked cops. Just deal with it yourself.

And as far as the military... Yes, there is a commandment that states "Thou shall not kill" but the entire religion of Christianity was founded upon killing.

It's simple really.... If you think Americans are just a bunch of hypocrites... Get out of America.

Don't want to leave race out of this so how about killing two birds with on stone.

Johnnie Cochran is celebrated as being a great lawyer and a great asset to the poor and less fortunate among us. Wasn't it said he defended not only the OJ's but the no J's ?

Sounds like a great American huh?

Geronimo Pratt just like OJ was another of mister Cochran's clients like OJ is just a cold blooded murder but don't get me wrong in some circles I guess that doesn't make you a bad guy.

Any thing else in common with these two guys cases? Ya one small things Johnnie is celebrated for is righting the wrong that had been done by trying to make two black men pay for the crimes they committed by murdering two white women, yea I look at the Goldman boy as an Innocent victim in this case.

But like the good lawyer Johnnie was fought long and hard against form of tort reform, funny whats good for some is never whats good lawyers.

A great lawyer? I guess you could say that.

A great American?

So the same first amendment that you use so eloquently only applies to you "Great Americans" ?

I'm gonna need a little help with your ideas on which of the commandments we can live by which we can ignore and not be just maybe a little bit hypocritical?

If killing my neighbor is OK then poking his wife certainly can't be frowned upon as severely. Am I maybe some how misreading something in there?

Just whom are the great Americans?
