Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

This is just the typical Democratic hypocrisy. What did Obama say in the 2008 election "get in their face?" Now when folks opposed to Obamacare "get in their face" it is bad manners, bad politics, just plain bad.

Other classic Democratic hypocrisy: (1) we are for the empowerment of women, until they are running for Vice President on the Republican ticket; (2) we support oppressed women, until they are accusing the Democratic president of the United States of sexual harrassment; (3) we are for blacks in politics, until they are a Republican black in politics. What did Gloria Steinem say about Hillary Clinton and Sarah Pallin had in common? Only a vagina? Isn't it thought to be tautological that a woman who is engaged in sexual relations with her boss -- inherently as a function of the disparate power in the relationship -- being sexually harrassed, but Monica Lewinsky, an intern (hence, among the least empowered of "employees") can have a sexual relationship with the president of the United States (the most powerful of employers) and this wasn't construed by the National Organization of Women as a poster child embodiment of sexual harrassment? What if under these circumstances the president had been a Republican? Hypocrisy.

Here's what Obama said:

Quote:
"Go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face," Senator Obama told his supporters on the campaign trail in fall of 2008.
Apparently, it's only ok to do that IF you agree with THEM. If you do that while opposing them, then you're a Nazi sympathizer or some such tripe...

Also, in your list of hypocrisies, you forgot to add "We are for the appointment of Hispanics to high positions in the legal field, unless their names are Alberto Gonzales or Miguel Estrada, because we don't want conservatives picking up any Hispanic votes by being the first to nominate a Hispanic to the Supreme Court..."

unfortunately, hypocracy is contagious, and doesn't respect partisan boundaries:

Hmmm having an official awareness day is the same as rewarding the doctor with money to have this talk on the behalf of "The" entity who's paying the bill?

no, promoting end of life counseling, and then railing against "death panels" when it's politically expedient, is disingenuous.

rewarding the doctor? it just means the counseling is covered. (and btw, it stand to reason the doctor will still make MORE money if the patient who doesn't have a DNR provisionj in their living will).

everyone pretty much admitted the promotion of advanced directives was a GREAT thing, until a couple folks saw an opportunity to scare the hell out of a few folks in a politically expedient manor.

even your boy newt was apparently for them, before he was against them:

Please, how do you get to Newt being my boy? I have never ever voted for the man nor have I bought a book from him. Second, unlike Obama, Newt is completely against rationing of healthcare.
