We spend a lot of time playing with Miriam and she goes with us pretty much everywhere we go. Except for work or school of course. We take her out when we scout for game. We go on walks in different places. She helps us shop especially for groceries. She loves picking out the stuff we buy. If I tell her we're getting rice, she'll point to the bags of Cal-Rose on the lower shelf and remind me. She'll help pick out fruits and vegetables. She knows if a plum is ripe or not, etc.
We went out for taco Tuesday last night. She gets her own taco now which she slowly eats little by little, she'll nurse and then fall asleep in daddy's lap while he sips his beer. If we go out on band night, she has to dance with daddy which is fun to watch. She is very well behaved when we're out. I don't think she has ever thrown a tantrum. I think the fact that we spend so much time with her has created a very strong bond between the three of us. We don't use the TV as a babysitter. In fact we have had the cable disconnected. So the TV is only good for Netflix. So instead of watching TV, she helps us around the house. If daddy is fixing something, she will sit by and hand him his tools. She can't tell wrench or socket sizes so she will hand him one at a time until she gets to the right one.
We don't go anywhere we can't take her except for school and work. If we get an invitation, they have to plan on the three of us.
