Default African-Canadian? Latin-Canadian? Native Canadian?
Heard a blurb on the radio a day or three ago that stuck with me. What other nationality has hyphenated citizens? If there are any, do they put thier suppossed country of origin first, and the country they are actually a citizen of second?

I am a native Vermonter……..but I don’t have any native American blood in me. Around here we call anyone who wasn’t born here flatlanders. But many of them live in the mountains? Go figure.

I guess you are a native to where you were born. That would be my take on it. I think it is separate of what Race you are.

i believe if you are a citizen of this country, then you are an American. if you choose to be affiliated with any other country (i.e. african american, asian american, mexican american, etc.) than take your behind back to that country. also, if you accept the United States of America as your home and swear citizenship to....speak English. this is our adopted language. it is the language our constitution was written in, if you don't like it.....take your behind back to the country you came from!
