At least you are admitting voting for him. Most people I suspect of doing so won't.
My bitterness towards "Toll Road" Perry extends from his giant land grab that didn't pan out, and because of things done between him and that crooked speaker from Midland while they had control with little meaningful opposition.
He's done better lately, but he's shown his willingness to abuse power already. I think this has a lot to do with him facing a strong opponent in the primary. As far as the Texas economy, I don't see how the governor has had any effect. What has made the difference for us has been oil and gas, not any specific intervention on behalf of the government.
