Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Can y'all pay my mortgage for me?

I have been paying my mortgage for a long time now: a first mortgage on a first house from 1988, later sold; a second mortgage on a second house from 1989, later sold; a third mortgage on a third house bought in 1996; a fourth morgage -- a refinance -- on the third house. I was just wondering if y'all would start paying my house/insurance/tax payments for me? This may seem bold, but if each of you "contribute" the monthly cost to you will not be very great. I confess, I am not the originator of this idea -- it is kinda based on something the Obama administration is thinking about.

I guess some people got into houses they can't afford and/or have refinanced to suck out all the equity from the mortgages to buy toys -- Cadillac Escalades, Lexuses, Hummers, BMWs, multi-thousand dollar grills, swimming pools (did you really think that many people had the wherewithal to buy so many friggin' Escalades, Lexuses, Hummers, BMWs?). So if they miss one house payment they are hosed and lose their houses. The Obama "we care" administration is thinking about providing payments to cover mortgages for unemployed!!!!

Well, I'm not unemployed and I make pretty good money, relatively speaking, for a wage earner. Also, I DIDN'T refinance to suck out every last drop of equity I had built in my home to buy toys -- instead I refinanced to obtain 5.5% fixed interest rate versus the circa 1996 7.5% fixed interest rate and also to drop 8 years off my pay-off date with a 15-year loan in 2003 versus the 30 year loan made in 1996. But still, I think you ought to be content to pay my load -- just as much as for these jokers who refinanced to suck out equity!!!!! C'mon!

It is amazing. Just one spending program after another. Talk about redistribution of wealth. I'm really sick of it. Why should I have to bail out individuals with my money? That really is socialism and redistribution of wealth. It suks.

Can I get in on that as well? There are 126,937 members. If each of you could pony up 20 cents I could finish up that pesky mortgage. Make it 50, and I can get rid of those car notes too...
