Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Investment talk

I don't know how much interest there will be for this thread in here but I thought we could give it a try.

I thought this would be a good place to discuss investments or potential investments people may be thinking of making or just the economy in general.

I've spoken to several people from Modojo through PM's over the years about various investments so I know there are some other interested parties lurking around.

We are now in a bear market, a mild recession seems to be almost a certainty at this point and history tells us that it is investments made during economic downturns that create the most wealth during the eventual upturn.

Our economic problems are greater than the housing market and I do not think the Fed's rate cuts are enough to save us at this point. They have been to slow. They have been re-active instead of pro-active. I also see the planned Bush stimulus plan as nothing more than a feeble attempt to buy votes for the Republican party. It will do nothing to improve the economic outlook, it may result in a few more iPod sales though.

Anyway, those of you that are investing or looking to start, what are you holding or what are you looking at buying at this point?

If there is interest in this subject I would be more than happy to share the plays I'm making and looking into.

I don't take any investment advise from any body who thinks Bush is still president.

I kind of like to buy low and sell high.
