Are you sure? Seems MJ spent the last 15-20 years trying to erase whatever black attributes he may have had. By the time he passed, his skin color was lighter than mine. Plastic surgery changed all of his "African" facial features. Heck, he even had blond, white kids (fathered by his dermatologist...) , all of which have nothing to do with the original post. You're the one that suggested there was some racial overtone.

I was simply noting, and agreeing with Pelosi, that Congress has MUCH more pressing matters that it should be addressing than passing a bill honoring Michael Jackson. The Economy. Iran. The Economy. North Korea. The Economy. And, that Sheila Jackson Lee has a propensity to waste Congress' time on ridiculous garbage like the under-representation of black names for hurricanes.
