Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Stimulus Check

Ok, guys maybe someone here knows. Was all taxpayers supposed to get a stimulus check this year? Or were we only supposed to get the one from GW plan?

If you have a job, you don't get a check. I think they adjusted the withholding tables, so you get to keep an extra $15 per month... Try not to spend it all in one place.

Ok, so the stimulus was thru the tax code, not a one time check?

No, just those on Social Security.

Everyone else:

w2 employees should see a little more "take home pay", everything else being equal then before this last stimulus implemented.

Everybody that files an '09 return should see an additional$400/800 tax credit new this year provided they meet the income parameters...which most will meet

W2 employees won't see much increase in "refund" (again, everything else being equal) because they got more "take home pay" (less withheld) based on the stimulus, but those whose income is from other things besides wages should see a refund increase (again, as long as they are under the ceiling for income parameters.....and I assume the ceiling is around $200K-mfj...although I don't know exactly what it is because it's not that high on the priority list...even for tax offices)
