Clues to origin of life revealed in Tagish Lake meteorite
Parts of the Tagish Lake meteorite were found on a frozen lake near the Yukon border in January, 2000, after it fell to Earth in a spectacular blue-green fireball that was seen for hundreds of kilometres.
Researchers recovered parts of the still-frozen meteorite after an extensive search. Since then, scientists have repeatedly tried to unlock the clues that the rare 4.5 billion-year-old carbon and water rich meteorite has long been suspected to contain.
Could be that these meteors are just remnents of larger pieces returning back to earth from the big bang days when earth had asteroids or larger meteors hit it.
Meteor hunting is big up here in the northern areas, I always look for some when I go shed hunting. I usually see sasquatch though...lol

Awesome news, hope you and the lads have great weather and catch a bucket full everyday.
I am currently northwest of there about 4-5 hrs away in a town called Timmins, in Ontario. Tent life is wonderful with wifi internet...lol
timmins, you say? i understand a man can get a nice chunk of waterfront land there with a minimal amount of scratch. hows the hunting and fishing in that neck of the country?
RE: Clues to origin of life revealed in Tagish Lake meteorite
The Tagish Lake meteorite is certainly a very important discovery. The fact that it was rich in organic materials supports one theory that life on Earth actually may have an extra-terestial origin. These organic materials could have contained the building blocks for life that eventually, over 4 billion years, evolved into human beings.

Plenty of waterfront land, plenty of water, lakes, rivers, streams and plenty of fish, the ministry regulates limits with an iron fist but it seems to be working, never an issue for large fish, whatever your favorite is. Hunting is amazing, I see moose and bear regularly. Last evening I saw a massive female black bear with her cub dashing across a farm field...she was a beauty for sure. Haven't see that many white tail deer though, not like the numbers in the eastern, central and southern parts of the province.
