Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Best news I heard today!

My sister in law just turned down an invite to the White House for tomorrow!

Too funny. I won't reveal why she was askedto go only that she holds a high office in a national organization. Her husband tried to tell her to go because it's a "once in a lifetime oppotunity". She said hell no, I got better things to do with my time.

My Brother in Law also. But he never turned down an invite under Clinton. Made for some heated discussions here. He never did get quite use to my mounts in the den. LOL. Always spent his time here in the kitchen. Now that things have taken a dramatic shift to the left, he's whistling a different tune.

yes....a once in a lifetime opportunity....like a free ticket on the titanic.

My wife's boss is quite independently wealthy and owns a huge plantation in Louisiana that has been
used for years by the top La. politicians, the governor, etc., to throw parties and to honor foreign
dignitaries. The governor (not Jindal, the demo-dope who preceeded him, the one who botched the
Katrina response from FEMA) asked to use the place for a party with Klinton....he turned 'em down...hehehe !
I told him he's my hero...I'd love to do something like that. Best I ever did was call CONGRESSMAN Chuck Schumer
a friggin' disgrace and refused to shake his hand...he was campaigning for re-election to his Brooklyn congressional seat and was lobbying the commuters taking the subway to work in the morning....hehehehe....'deer in the headlights' is the phrase that comes to mind. I tip my hat to your sister-in-law...she is obviously principled and she has standards governing whom she dines with.

I think I would take the opportunity to give the prez a piece of my mind. Then again, if I dared make the annointed one look foolish or corner him into admitting his true agenda, I'd be crucified "Joe the Plumber" style...
