Obama's little buddy says Obama sounds just like Bush

"Mr. Obama made a mistake to say those things ... our question is why he fell into this trap and said things that previously (former U.S. President George W.) Bush used to say," the semi-official Fars News Agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

"Do you want to speak (with Iran) with this tone? If that is your stance then what is left to talk about," said Ahmadinejad. "I hope you avoid interfering in Iran's affairs and express your regret in a way that the Iranian nation is informed of it."

Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has said the election of Ahmadinejad will not be reversed. He has said the nation's rulers would never yield to demands from the streets.

....anyone else think Obama should have or shouldn't have said something sooner and offered support to the reformists ? or was what he said enough? Too much ?

He said pretty much what he should have, now he needs to drink from a nice tall glass of STFU. At the rate they're going Iran may soon be faced with another revolution, no sense stirring that pot since we'll have nothing to gain by it. The ruling junta has already said too much anyway, the seeds of discontent are planted and growing like weeds, this could get interesting fast. If Obama fans the fire all he'll acomplish will be to inflame the Iranian public even more against us than they already are, the best thing for us would be to sit aside quietly, let them implode, then pick up the pieces.
