That would be an indictment on the accuracy of the personal information, as presented, for Gen. Pershing.
If they can't get the birthplace correct, is the anecdote factual or just something 'attributed' to him ?

I have an idea we did a whole lot worse to some prisoners back in the day. I would say this was a walk in the park for the UK empire or the US.
