What amazes me about this story is the guy's comment blaming everything on the company in China. This same thing happens everyday here in America from American company.It's the resposibility of the owner to check the quality of your product your selling. It's your name on the product. Do you think a chef blames the fisherman if the customer gets food poisoning?

That's the bottom line. This has less to do with China and more to do about someone's failure to their job.

Check out the stories on the drywall shipped from China and used in the rebuilding of New Orleans. Smells of rotten eggs and the copper in all the houses are cooroding (sp?). The water pipes and the A-coils in their air conditioners are just falling apart. They are having to strip all the drywall out and start over. My local Menards in Central Illinois advertises they don't carry drywall from China. Only USA made drywall.

Here is one problem with made in the USA. Cali passed their stupid global warming regs reguiring retrofits to manufactures smoke stacks. Their main drywall manufacture in Cali doesn't have enough left in the mine to cover the cost, so they are shutting down and moving to mexico.
The China drywall stuff is very interesting. This is a time where the US government needs to step in and enforce any court ruling that will come from a class action lawsuit. It needs to go through the courts and I assume the WTO, maybe but its the job of our government to stand firm and not bargin it away.
