Unemployment in April remained 20 percent higher in states won by Democratic candidate Barack Obama in last fall's presidential election than in states won by Republican candidate John McCain, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics released yesterday.
Not sure this was the change they were looking for.

Not me. People vote themselves a living off the backs of those who work. It's the democratic party's way. Now we have 43% not paying federal income taxes, soon to be a voting majority. Brings back that slogan I've seen on a car bumper: "Vote Democrat, It's Easier than Working"

Gee I wonder why.... could it be that the democrat strongholds tax the hell out of business's making not worthwhile to stay and providing plenty of incentive to leave for more tax friendly locales or to just go out of business to avoid the whole mess.

Stay tuned. I was on the phone with a political guy today and he told me to drill down to actual cities vs unemployment vs party vote and it is an even more of a shocker. He said he would forward it if he can find it but he gave me enough info I think to find it on my own.

Take a look at Michigan. Two very liberal US Senators that rival Kerry and Kennedy of Massachusetts, a liberal two term governor, a democratic majority in the State House, and a Democratic majority of US representatives in DC, and we've went Dem in every presidential election since 1992.
And we have, by far, the worst unemployment in the country. In fact, it's been that way for the majority of this decade if you take away the effects of Katrina.
We're losing population, but unfortunately it's the productive, educated, hard working folks that are leaving. You can get 59 weeks of unemployment in Michigan right now, and it's one of the best paying programs in the United States..... just like giving a drunk a drink....
Michigan is a prime example of how the lazy, handout, socialist policies of the Democratic party are ruining this Country.
