foreign service officers. Your tax dollars will pay for those the travel and expenses of those perverted diplomats and their same sex partners.

Quote:
Last week, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Howard Berman (D-CA) introduced the two-year Foreign Relations Authorization Act. One of the provisions of the legislation was to "śend the long-standing practice of excluding the committed partners of Foreign Service officers from the benefits routinely provided to the spouses and children of officers serving abroad."ť However, today Berman announced that he was dropping that provision because the State Department has promised to act instead:

WASHINGTON (AFP) "” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has promised to provide equal benefits to partners of homosexual US diplomats stationed overseas, a congressman said Wednesday..............................

The ranking Republican member on the committee, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida, has supported the effort.

Ros-Lehtinen signed a letter to Clinton sent in February by Tammy Baldwin, a Democrat from Wisconsin who is openly lesbian, warning the State Department risked losing qualified diplomats unless it provided equality to gay partners.

The funding bill calls on US diplomats to encourage other countries to revise laws that restrict consensual homosexual relations or limit the freedoms of gay people and groups.
Yep, the ranking Republican on the committee went along with the Democrats pukey homosexual agenda. i really do gotta puke[:@]

I ambut you shouldn't be. Wasn't it you who said Republicans were wasting their time when they had power trying to defend family values?

Republicans made lots of campaign promises to stave off the moral decline of America but they did very little when they ran the congress and the white house. The congressional leadershipnever pushed for legislation that would have declared marriage to be a contract between a manand a woman. They knew that some of thier own house and senate members were twinkies.

Here is a pretty good analysis of the situation that the Republicans in congress were/are in:http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-10-11-gop-gay-identity-crisis_x.htmBy Kathy Kiely, USA TODAYWASHINGTON "” At a State Department ceremony this week, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice warmly acknowledged the family members of Mark Dybul, whom she was swearing in as the nation's new global AIDS coordinator. As first lady Laura Bush looked on, Rice singled out his partner, Jason Claire, and Claire's mother. Rice referred to her as Dybul's "mother-in-law."

I hope they put in more stipulations, concerning eligibility, in than the company I work for did. The company I work for didn"™t put in any, other than one same sex partner at a time.

I suppose the next shoe to drop is going to be divorce and dependant law reform concerning same sex partner accommodations.

Thanks
Mr-Pirk
