The day is coming when the federal government will auditprivate bank accounts and decide that some folks have more money than they have a realistic need for. The feds will correct that situation by stealing some of that money from our citizens.

I have strived to invest in IRA mutual funds for most of my life. I have always been told that retirement is funded by a three-legged stool: a pension plan, personal savings, and social security. Now the third leg is in trouble. I would be willing to bet that as Obama tries to fix social security, he will determine that it will be "need based". In other words, it will kick in when your money runs out. Politicians have been stealing from SS for years. It pisses me off since I paid well over six figures into that system. They call it an entitlement...like it's welfare or something. That's BS.... It was my money....and it was taken from me. I just want it back.

Mr. C it is an entitlment to a bunch that are on it. Sad part is.. the ones likwe yourself who have really contributed are gonna get screwed as usual by the freeloaders.

The DC political pukes have been stealing social security money for over 40 years.They have absolutely no intention of ever paying it back. A few years ago i watched the social security actuary make a two hour presentation on social security and it's so called "trust fund". The guy nevermentioned that there is absolutely no money in the social security "trust fund." How in hades can a trust fund be made up of ious?

I can imagine the following scenario whenSuzy graduates from high school and is accepted at a good college: "Suzy, you Mom and I are very sorry, we spent your college trust fund on that big motor home and all those trips to Europe. Your trust fund has a funny balance."

I am currently drawing social security.It pisses me off to no end that there will be nothing for my son, daughter and grandkids. There will be nothing for them because theravenous hogs of my generation, ate it up, tramped it into the dirt and crapped on it.Now those hogs are searching in the $hit piles for a few grains of corn. I have been told that SSI payments are made from social security funds. I know several young men on SSI who have never worked a day in their lives. When they get an SSI check, they promptly go out and buy drugs with the money. Great way to keep the economy going!
Immigrants are gettingSS money tootoo. As far as I'm concerned, every federal politician ought to be hung from a flagpole by his gonads over this sort of thing.
