It is so sickning to the stomach. You need to look up when GB owned their auto industry. I got news for you it didn't go well and they were a lot smaller. I took them many billions and over a decade to wakes up.
The worst thing is the fact their are some on this forum now cheering on Obama's next private industry target, healthcare.

It just blows my mind that they cannot look around and see all the failed models of the exact same things they are trying now!!! If we live thru this it will be the best shot in the arm conservatism has EVER had! UK's auto industry was indeed quite the joke as well.
Can anyone name me anything... just one program or industry that government has excelled at running efficiently... or even close to decent?

Federal Government taking over the medical industry is the death toll for a free America. The people will plucked and roasted before they know what hit them. This will skip right over socialism to the real thing. A kingdom with a ruler.
We will end up bailing out all of the insurance companies when Government competition with the private sector will run the private sector into the ground. A bailout would be more wasted money because it won't work.

the death knell this is going to sound on what used to be the American way of life. I for one, refuse to be a "Clockwork Orange", if you will, and bend to the likes of Barney "I did not know there were prostitutes in my house" Frank and that frikkin Pelosi scarecrow if I can resist it at all. I know there are those out there who will not take this lying down...where the heck do you think all the ammunition has gone ???? Scary times are unfolding.

Fortunately you can rest assured cap and trade won't pass. That's my prediction but then again it's not been shown to be too good as of late. You have your two goofball Senators that actually come to life on real issues for WV and they know cap and trade kills jobs for WVU. Right now (if any othet time is good for WV) WV can't afford one more job loss.There is no way it passes. Notice how Chrysler and GM are handled outside of congress? Obama is dictating that.Healthcare too is on the ropes. Yes, they say thenuclear option is on the table but passing the bill will be without funding. Congress has to go back and fund this crap when already they have a 2 trillion deficit this year.
On a side note, your staying home on the 4th? I'm making the big drive like always to celebrate the 4th in the best place in American and thats in WV! Told the wife, I'm lookng for a tea party.

On the bight side, I have heard that there are some other decent car makers out there: Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Kia, Mazda, and at least a few of these are operating assembly plants in the US.
GM, Chrysler, and the UAW can all go pound sand up their collective arses.
